Tables Turned on Children's Breakfast Program Volunteers

The tables will be turned on hard working Illawarra breakfast program volunteers at a special celebrity lunch to be held in Shellharbour to mark United Nation’s International Volunteer Day on December 5th.

Healthy Cities Illawarra 20th Anniversary Awards

The annual Healthy Cities Illawarra Awards will be a special event for 2007 to celebrate Healthy Cities Illawarra's 20th Anniversay of helping create a healthy Illawarra. In addition to the annual awards, we will be conferring a number of special achievement awards to recognise the 20th Anniversary of Healthy Cities Illawarra. We are seeking nominations for outstanding individual community volunteers who have achieved great improvements for the region. Clr. Sandra McCarthy, President of Healthy Cities Illawarra, will officially launch an exciting new community website – the first of its kind in Australia. The ‘Play Illawarra’ website will provide parents and carers across the Illawarra with detailed information on more than 250 playgrounds from their own home computer. The directory provides colour photographs, geographical locations and other surrounding facilities such as seating, shade, water, BBQ’s and disabled access. Read More...
