Milton Rural Landcare Inc. We are primarily a group of residents and landholders from within the Milton Area. We formed in March 1998 to ensure that we have a voice in other forums, to provide an Incorporated body through which other Landcare groups in our area could shelter, to improve the sustainability of our farms and other ventures within our catchment and to use our experiences to help educate others, primarily through group activities, educational products and this web site. After many unbelievable obstacles we received our Incorporation papers on the 28th October 1998. We adopted national Landcare and TCM principals as our incorporated aims. This would not have been possible but for the support of the EARTH MATTERS Group. We are already acting as an umbrella group for two other local Landcare groups, Narrawallee Landcare and Stoney Creek Foreshores Restoration group. Lake Wollumboola Protection Association Inc. http://www.wollumboola.org.au The Lake Wollumboola Protection Association Inc was incorporated in June 2002 by members of the longstanding unincorporated Lake Wollumboola Support Group. The history of the Association/Group is outlined in the History and Influence Page. The Association is now a member of the Nature Conservation Council of NSW, and a foundation member group of the Jervis Bay Regional Alliance the region’s umbrella community environment organization. In the time that the Association members have been active, our efforts
have developed into a substantial, influential and effective campaign
to protect Lake Wollumboola. Membership, the range of activities, and
our effectiveness may have changed. However our vision has remained constant. http://www.bendalongenv.asn.au/ Email: info@bendalongenv.asn.au The Bendalong and District Environmental Association was formed in March 1995 as a direct result of local residents becoming aware that Shoalhaven City Council had plans to site a garbage tip in Conjola State Forest. This forest was a treasure of clean creeks, rare and endangered flora and fauna; all too scarce as coastal areas are developed with little thought for the environmental future. An overwhelming majority of residents decided that this was one area that should be protected at all costs and so the Association was established. |
